We aim to deliver your clothes within 5-15 business days for domestic orders and within a month for international orders. Make sure to view our size chart before placing an order to ensure a seamless shopping experience. OYSTER offers free shipping across India, and all product prices include shipping charges.

In the rare case that your delivery pin code is unserviceable or difficult to courier to, please get in touch with us at +91 8424899893. We will try to find a way to deliver the garment to you.

RETURNS

At OYSTER INDIA, we take pride in creating beautiful garments that you can cherish for a lifetime. Each piece is made especially for you, and what you see on our website is exactly what you will receive.

• Returns for Store Credit: We allow returns of garments within 2 days of receiving your order, and returns are eligible for STORE CREDIT only. You can access your store credit anytime by logging into your account.
  Please note that store credit is valid for one month from the date of issue.

• Errors from Our End: If there are any errors with respect to the size, color, or quality of the garment, please inform us within 24 hours of receiving the item by calling our customer care team at +91 8424899893(working hours: Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm). If this time frame is exceeded, we will not be able to process the return.

• Return Query Review: Once you send us a return query, we will review it within 1-2 business days. We may request further details, including photographs or videos of the garment in question, to assess whether it is eligible for a return. We, as a brand, reserve the right to determine the eligibility of the return.

• Non-Returnable Items:
    - Sale items: There will be no returns/exchanges on sale items.
    - Lounge wear: No returns or exchanges on lounge wear.
  - Custom Tailored : No returns or exchanges on custom tailored outfit as they are made to order.

• Courier Charge Deduction:
     As part of our exchange policy, a deduction will be applied to your store credit to cover the courier charges incurred during the process of sending the new garment to you after receiving the returned item:
    - ₹300 deduction for COD (Cash on Delivery) orders (as additional handling charges apply).
    - ₹150 deduction for prepaid orders.

EXCHANGES

Since each garment is hand-made and hand-embroidered to order, we do not encourage exchanges. Every product is quality controlled before being shipped.

• Exchanges for Fit, Size, Color, or Quality Issues: If there are any issues with the fit, size, color, or quality of the garment, please inform us within 48 hours of receiving the item by contacting our customer care team at +91 8424899893(working hours: Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm). We do not process exchanges for sale items.

• Exchange Query Review: After receiving your query, we will review it and may ask for further information, such as photographs of the garment and the reason for the claim. Once reviewed, we reserve the right to decide whether the item is eligible for an exchange.

• Condition for Exchange: The garment must be in original condition, including all tags and packaging. We will not accept exchanges for items that show signs of wear and tear.

• Exchange Process: If approved, we will provide instructions on how to return the item. The return courier charges will be borne by the customer, while we will cover the cost of shipping the replacement garment.

• Courier Charge Deduction for Exchanges:
     As part of our exchange policy, a deduction will be applied to your store credit to cover the courier charges incurred during the process of sending the new garment to you once we receive the returned item:
    - ₹300 deduction for COD (Cash on Delivery) orders (as additional handling charges apply).
    - ₹150 deduction for prepaid orders.
  The remaining store credit will be valid for one month from the date it is issued.

• Single Exchange Policy: Once an item has been exchanged, it will not be eligible for exchange again.

SHIPPING POLICY

We provide free shipping for all our products to most major cities in India. However, if your delivery location is a smaller town, kindly write to us at +91 8424899893. Please send us your delivery address and Pin code so that we can go through the shipping details for you. Once an order is ready to be dispatched, you will be notified via email. Consequently, a notification will also be sent when the order has been dispatched for your location. Our courier partner will get in touch with you when your order is out for delivery, and you can set a mutually agreeable time to receive the goods. Kindly note that our courier partner – essentially the driver who delivers your goods – is a third-party operator. Their primary and only job is to deliver the goods safely to you. However, it is not their responsibility to bring the goods inside your house or up to a higher floor (in case of an apartment building).

Any taxes and duties, by any name and for any amount, levied by the destination country for any international orders, will be borne by the customer themselves. OYSTER India is not liable for such amount and any changes in law for imports into any country.

Once an order has been placed and confirmed, we regret to inform our customers that we are unable to process any cancellations. Our products are carefully crafted by skilled artisans who put in their best efforts to create unique pieces of clothing that meet our high-quality standards.

Product Care Guide: Make It Last

Our garments are crafted from premium natural fibers—specifically cotton and linen. These materials are chosen for their breathability, durability, and comfort. With the right care, they will not only last for years but often get softer and more comfortable with age.

Follow these guidelines to keep your shirts and shorts looking their best.

🧺 The Golden Rules of Washing

Natural fibers respond best to gentle handling. Aggressive washing can break down fibers over time and cause unnecessary shrinkage.

• Go Cold: Always wash with cool or lukewarm water (30°C / 86°F). Hot water can shock the fibers, leading to shrinkage and fading.

• Gentle Cycle: Use a gentle machine cycle or hand wash if possible. This reduces friction and prevents the fabric from degrading.

• Separate Colors: Wash whites, darks, and colors separately to avoid bleeding.

• Mild Detergent: Use a mild, liquid detergent. Avoid bleach, as it weakens the cellulose structure of both cotton and linen.

Pro Tip: Unbutton all shirts and unzip/unbutton shorts before washing. This prevents tension on the buttonholes and maintains the garment's shape.

☀️ Drying: The Key to Longevity

How you dry your cotton and linen largely determines how long they last and how well they fit.

1. Skip the Tumble Dry: High heat is the enemy. It causes significant shrinkage and makes fabric brittle.

2. Air Dry is Best: Shake out the garment while damp to remove wrinkles, then hang it or lay it flat to dry.

   • Linen: Dries very quickly. Air drying preserves its signature texture.

   • Cotton: Hang drying keeps shirts crisp.

3. If You Must Machine Dry: If you are in a rush, tumble dry on the lowest heat setting and remove the items while they are still slightly damp. Air dry them for the final 10%.

💨 Ironing & Steaming

Both cotton and linen are prone to wrinkling—it’s a sign of their natural quality. Here is how to handle it.

For Linen

Embrace the rumple—it’s part of the charm. However, if you want a sharper look:

• Iron Damp: Iron linen while it is still slightly damp from the wash.

• High Heat: Use the linen (high heat) setting on your iron.

• Steam: Use plenty of steam. If the shirt is dry, spritz it with water before ironing.

For Cotton

• Medium-High Heat: Cotton can tolerate heat, but don't overdo it.

• Steam for Ease: A steamer is often safer and faster than an iron for removing daily creases from shirts and shorts.

🚪 Storage

• Shirts: Hang your cotton and linen shirts on wide, wooden or padded hangers. This supports the shoulder structure and allows air to circulate.

• Shorts: Fold them neatly and stack them in a drawer. Hanging heavy shorts by the waistband can sometimes cause them to stretch out of shape.

• Long-Term: If storing for the season, ensure garments are completely clean and dry. Store in a breathable cotton bag, never plastic, to prevent yellowing.

🆘 Quick Stain Removal

Accidents happen. If you spill on your cotton or linen:

1. Act Fast: The longer a stain sits, the harder it is to remove.

2. Blot, Don't Rub: Rubbing pushes the stain deeper into the fiber. Blot gently with a clean cloth.

3. Cool Water: Rinse with cool water from the back of the fabric to push the stain out.

4. Avoid Heat: Never iron or dry a stained garment; heat will set the stain permanently.
